KEATON VENTURA

Dandelions is a short film centered on my father, who since the 1940s has marked each spring by foraging wild dandelion greens in our hometown of Geneva, NY, and preparing them as a seasonal salad—an Italian-American ritual rooted in the Depression era that has grown increasingly rare.

In 2022, while home between larger projects, I documented one of these expeditions.
